The FICY is the international film festival of the city of Yopal in the department of Casanare
The F.I.C.Y. is a film festival that will be held annually in the city of Yopal, founded by filmmakers Welmar Uscategui Gutiérrez, Diana Catalina Pérez, and social manager Amalia Gutiérrez. Our festival has as one of its main objectives the promotion of cinema and the creation of a sustainable economy in the Casanareña region.
At the F.I.C.Y. You will find a wide selection of films of different genres and themes, from different countries, that reflect the cultural diversity of the world and enrich the cultural offering of the region. In addition, the festival has a series of parallel activities, such as workshops, round tables and special events, which seek to promote dialogue and reflection around cinema and its role in society.
We are proud to be part of the growing film community in Yopal and the region, and believe that cinema can be a powerful engine of economic and cultural development. Therefore, we focus on strengthening the links between the film industry and local communities, and promoting the training of new generations of filmmakers and producers in the region.
